NormaTec sleeves utilize Sequential Pulse Technology — compression that "pulses" upward toward the heart, enhancing lymphatic drainage, blood circulation and oxygenation throughout the body, not just in the treated areas.
NormaTec is a computer-controlled dynamic compression system which utilises inflating pumps with many separate chambers positioned around the treatment area. As the pulsing compression moves through these chambers, venous, oxygen and lymphatic flow is increased, leading to significant detoxification of lactic acid, inflammation, bloating and swelling. Many clients experience relief from sore, tired legs, as well as a reduction in trapped toxins, cellulite, bloating and edema.
At Chill we utilise NormaTec treatments after all of our ChillSlim fat-freezing treatments, as ChillSlim releases fat cell contents into the blood and lymphatic system — NormaTec helps to remove this mobilised fat from the area to be detoxified through the liver.

Sequential Pulse Technology
Unlike simple compression boots that squeeze uniformly, NormaTec uses sequential pulsing — each chamber inflates in a wave-like pattern moving toward the heart, mimicking the natural action of muscle contractions during exercise. This pushes fluid, lactic acid and inflammatory byproducts out of the treated tissue and back into circulation to be cleared by the body.
NormaTec applies a sustained gradient pressure to prevent fluid backflow, holding the beneficial pressure in place while the next zone fills. This prevents the "milked" fluids from being pushed back in the wrong direction — maximising the detoxifying effect of each session.
To maximise circulation while preventing backflow, pressure is released in the most distal zones as soon as possible. This allows each part of the limb to receive maximum treatment without being compromised by sustained static compression — the key to NormaTec's superior recovery results.
